Or by those older than us. I have read that Gene Roddenberry sold the original Star Trek to TV by calling it 'Wagon Train in space'. A pretty apt description, actually. I think it is more difficult today to get a 'western' published, and certainly a harder sell in the bookstores, but it is possible.

Keep the faith

MaryLAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7758483166311949090.post-31357928523654231742009-03-23T19:54:37.484-07:002009-03-23T19:54:37.484-07:00I once submitted a Civil-War era thriller to a wou...I once submitted a Civil-War era thriller to a would-be movie maker. He classified it as a western, said Hollywood wasn't interested in westerns anymore. It's those Hollywood guys who don't know the south and the Civil War from Arizona and the battle at the O.K. corral. Go figure!WKEverharthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11342903231812097447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7758483166311949090.post-3902174694272668592009-04-28T10:14:49.455-07:002009-04-28T10:14:49.455-07:00A.E., I think that you would like the movie Spirit...A.E., I think that you would like the movie Spirit.
